This is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching. It works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction.

An antihistamine works by suppressing histamine, a natural substance that is released when coming into contact with a substance that causes an allergy. An allergy occurs when the body comes into contact with something that it thinks is a threat when it is not. As a result, the immune system forms a defense that includes releasing histamine. Who can use these tablets?
The Allacan Cetrizine tablets are suitable to be used by adults and paediatric patients who are 6 years and above: for the relief of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis for the relief of symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
What are the side effects of taking these tablets?
Common side effects of cetirizine happen in more than 1 in 100 people. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any of these side effects:

- Feeling sick (nausea)
- Feeling dizzy
- Stomach pain
- Diarrhoea
